The $19 daily rate applies to 28+ day hires in our Supersaver Compact Car during our low season (winter). We know price matters and believe in providing true value so rates on hires 3 days and longer in our Supersaver Compact Car will not exceed $35 during winter. Rates are based on an Auckland return round trip (pick up and drop off at the same branch).
Do you provide one way car rental?
Yes you can book one way car rental. We do charge a one-way fee so that we can keep our base rental rates the same irrespective of where you are renting from. If you require one way car rental, or a pick up in Christchurch or Wellington, please use our Quotation Form and we'll confirm a rate.
Do you have a depot at Auckland Airport?
We have 2 rental depots in Auckland. One in Downtown Auckland and the other just 5 minutes from Auckland Airport.
Free transfers are provided to and from airports and accommodation within a 10km radius of all branches, with the exception of our Auckland City Branch, which provides pick up and drop off transfers from Auckland CBD accommodation only. Free transfers are available during our normal business hours, when pre-arranged.
What is GST?
All goods and services purchased in New Zealand are subject to 15% GST (Goods and Services Tax). This tax is included in A2B Rental's low car rental rates. You do not need to add this to the prices you see listed here. What you see is what you pay. No hidden extra costs!
A2B Car Rental rates are way below what we've been quoted by other rental car firms. So what sort of car will we get?
We are owned by one of the largest independent car importers in New Zealand. With this large, quality fleet and by keeping overheads low, we are able to provide New Zealand car hire at highly competitive prices.
Do A2B Car Rentals require a deposit to secure bookings?
Yes, we require a 10% deposit on all bookings. This is paid at the time of booking to secure your reservation. If you would prefer to pay in full for your hire at the time of booking, you can also choose to do this instead of paying just the 10% deposit. Please contact our Reservations Team on 0800 545 000 for further details.
Do A2B cars have air conditioning and power steering?
Yes, they do.
Are the rental cars from A2B Rentals automatic or manual trasmission?
Our fleet of over 1,400 cars has both manual and automatic vehicles available. Let us know your preference when you make your booking.
What sort of driver licences are required when renting a car in New Zealand?
You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current driver's licence from your home country, or an International Driving Permit.
All drivers, including overseas visitors, must carry their licence or permit when driving. You will only be able to drive the same types of vehicles you are licensed to drive in your home country.
Make sure your overseas driver's licence is current. If your licence is not in English, you should bring an English translation with you or obtain an International Driving Permit.
Contact your local automobile club for further details about obtaining a translation or an International Driving Permit.
